Woo... A Golden Ring Of Jello
I've been lazy and forgetful with the food photos this week. I admit, I am a crap foodblogger.

I did however snap this great picture of Jenny's yellow apricot jello thing. It's delicious, wobbly and has fruit chunks in it. I could probably eat the whole thing.

Isn't it beautiful?

An Eel And A Shake
Occasions where my friends and I gather to eat are always one of my favourites. Crystal, Linda, Jenny and I gathered down at Eat Asian for some small feastage. Crystal and Linda were already loading up their plates with Chinese because their stomachs could not wait a minute longer. Jen was ordering some pad thai and I was pondering with much indecision over what to eat. I considered Indian, then Thai and then decided on Japanese. I'd eyed up the teriyaki eel many times so I thought it was as good a time as any to try this delicious delicacy.

I was not disappointed - yummy, tender eel. I wouldn't have minded the teriyaki flavour being a bit stronger though. Also, they didn't give me a little pot of the nice salad sauce like they do for takeaway because I would have preferred more of it - I think it is a kind of sesame sauce.

For dessert, I ordered this banana caramel thickshake. Tasty and so gigantic I felt like I drank a whole cow - a cow with banana caramel flavoured milk that is. With all the genetic engineering this days, I wouldn't be suprised if one existed. But the best flavoured cow juice would be tiramisu.

Arigatou Gozaimasu Nishiki!
Upon much begging (okay, 2 people) I finally bring you an update.

Last Thursday Crystal, Jenny and I went out to my favourite restaurant Nishiki. My mouth salivates at the thought of that place. I love me some good Japanese food. Crystal ordered her own food because she wouldn't touch some of our stuff with a 10ft pole (I swear, you don't know what your missing with the eggplant!) but Jenny and I shared a whole bunch of dishes. The more variety, the merrier and more pregnant-looking our tummies.

Jen and I both started with a melon drink. It tastes like candy! I preferred the grape one I had last time but they have crossed that off the non-alcoholic menu and I didn't feel like drinking.

We started off the feasting with california roll. Here is a picture of this delicious sushi with its bright orange roe atop a lovely plate.

Next there was beef rice which really doesn't need much description. Unless you don't know what beef or rice is and in that case, there would be a lot of description but I trust my readers are well-informed in these matters because if you didn't like to eat well, you wouldn't be reading this.

Crystal ordered these sticks of something. It looks like chicken but my memory fails me since I did not partake of these skewered delights. Maybe she will reply to this post and inform us of their contents.

Jen and I decided to try something new, so we got some fish balls. They were tasty but the octopus balls win.

And of course, we had to have our octopus balls! Mmm... tasty fried balls of squishy and flavoursome octopus.

Now we had to order the eggplant dish. Very few things can compare to soft eggplant covered in cheese and mayo. I forgot to take a picture of it but luckily I have archives!

We only ordered one dessert this time - our favourite, green tea ice with green tea icecream and rice balls. I was quite astounded with the presentation this time. This bowl was ginormous but Jenny and I can always finish this dessert. I sure was cold when we finished, and fat. A little more food and you might have had to roll me out. I wonder what that would sound like?
